I am a new user of Photoshop 7.0 and working with a Classroom in a Book. From the CD, as instructed, I created a folder PS70_CIB and copied from the CD all of the lessons into this folder. There is a .bat file with these lessons, with a double click,is supposed to unlock the images. The images remained locked when working with them in File Browzer. I tried to unlock them by selecting properties and checking the read only box. I then receive a message stating it is a protected file and will not allow the unlocking.

Have you any advice or experience on this problem?
Thanks
Dick

Are you certain you are accessing the files copied to the folder on your hard drive, or is the File Browser looking at the files on the CD?

Dick,

Whenever you copy files from a CD to the hard drive they will be locked. Open Windows Explorer, select all the files you copied, right-click and choose ‘Properties’. Un-check the Read Only checkbox in the pop-up screen that appears. That will unlock all the selected files in one operation.

Clicking Properties & then unchecking the read only box does not work. Any Ideas?

Carl,

You have to COPY the files to the HDD first…
