Three or more times since installing CS, I used the "save as" command in an attempt to create a new jpeg file. The jpeg box appears, I hit "OK" and the file is saved.
However, when attempting to open this file later, photoshop will not open it. This message appears: Adobe Photoshop. Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of file.
Windows file manager lists it it so: File type: FILE
When attempting to open with windows file manager this message appears: Windows: Windows cannot open this file. To open this file, Windows needs to know what program created it. etc.
This never happened in previous version of photoshop (versions 4, 6, 7).
Needless to say, after spending significant time on a file and saving it, only to not be able to open it up is not good.
