I created an action using file>automate>Contact Sheet II. Plugged in the options, checked boxes "Include all sub folders," "flatten all layers," and "use file name as caption." That last one is very important to us. The action works just fine. However, when I created a droplet from the same action, the following happens: I drag a folder onto the droplet, it starts up and starts pulling the files from the folder, but repeatedly adds only the first file in the folder, with the file name captions that were associated from the initial action script. So I end up with 40 of the same image and the file names are all wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim:

If you could answer a couple questions, it will help me understand your situation and workflow a little better and perhaps I can help.

What version of Photoshop are you using?

Forgetting droplets and actions for a moment, suppose you had 25 images in a folder named \Source to which you wanted to apply the Contact Sheet II command manually…

* How many rows and columns are you specifying?
* What file name would you want to assign the completed Contact Sheet image(s) when saved? * In what folder would you save the completed Contact Sheet image(s)? The same folder for each batch of images, regardless of the source folder? Same folder as the source folder? or ???

If you could type in the commands you recorded in your action, that would help, too. Don’t need all the parameters… just the commands, for example
* Open
* File > Automate > Contact Sheet II
* Save
* Close …whatever the action contains that’s not working for you. (or, you can e-mail it to me via my profile.)
