Hi

is there any simple methode of greating a "realistic" snow effect?
Ive included a low res image that i was wanting to use .. My intention was to animate the snow falling on the tiger .. . I was going to remove the existing snow and create a couple of new layers of snow which i could then animate to give the falling impression. But im stuck on how to create it ..
Are there any online tutorials that anyone can recommend?

This is more of an After Effects type of thing…. animation is whole different can of worms.

I did something similar once by making some 1 bit noise on several layers, putting these massive-sized layers into screen mode and having them move down vertically o nthe page at different rates. Another time I did something like this in Flash using snowflake vector shapes from CorelDRAW.
