Okay, here’s what I’m trying to do (By the way, you probably have to have seen the movie "The Matrix" to understand what I am talking about).
I’m trying to make a photo of a friend to look like a bullet-dodge from The Matrix. Now, I have everything ready, except I just cant figure out a way to make the bullet-trail effect. (Heres a link of a screenshot from the movie wich shows the effect <http://www.egoist.bg/archive/32/images/inner/matrix.jpg)> Anyone have any suggestions on how to get this done?

Bart,

I think I would try it with the Liquify option; where you want the "shock waves" to be, "bulb"-out the background a bit.
Make the bulbs close enough to each other so as to form a continuous trail.

Alsso, blur the trail (maybe do that first).

Just some thoughts… I’ll try something here and post a link.
