I want to move one of the crop lines near the edge of the picture, but only slightly. Can I select this line and use the arrows keys to move it a click at a time. Often close to the edge the crop line jumps straight to the edge or it jumps back to its original position and won’t go in between. Any answer to this?

Mark,

In Photoshop 7 this jumping to the edge has to do with "snap" enabled in View>Snap to…

Does the Windows version NOT have a way to temporarily disable/enable the "Snap-To" feature?

On my Macs, I hold down the "Control" key, (which is generally analogous to "Right-Clicking" under Windows) and the Snap-To feature is temporarily disabled. If "Snap-To" is unchecked in the View Menu, holding the "Control" key on a Mac will temporarily enable the Snap-To feature.

BUT! I have my Logitech mouse set up so that the right button works the same way as if I am "Control + Clicking" (again, this is NOT the same as "CTRL + Click" on a Windows machine), but this doesn’t seem to toggle the Snap-To feature.

Same thing on Windows. If you hold down the Ctrl key, the Snap-To is turned off temporarily until you release the key.

OK.

That seems to be one of the few instances where the Windows CTRL key does NOT have an analogous keyboard mapping to Mac’s Command key.

Holding the Command key on my Macs will not temporarily toggle the Snap-To feature. It has to be the Control key.
