memory management on CS

I have read thread after thread but I’m still not sure how to set my memory management to speed up CS. I found the new plug in but this is how my system is set up.

2.4 processor
512 memory
80% allocated for photoshop
pentium 4 processor
single hard drive 80 gig

How do I need to set up memory allocation and scratch disk for this setup?

turn down the allocated memort to 50%… read this FAQ thread:
