I would like to overlay the texture of a wrinkly human skin, on a cricket ball. (Like a Baseball, Leather with stitching) I have good res photos of both. However i want the surface of the ball to remain the same coluor and just take on the textures. Including Hairs.

The steps i’m thinking of taking are.
3d Transform Human Skin And Hair into Sphere
Copy into new Ball image as new layer fiddle round with layers.

Does anyone know of a tutorial that does a similar thing or have any advise.

Kind Regards,

B

I would use a 3D rendering program to map the skin texture onto a sphere, then perhaps us Photoshop to overlay the stitching from a photo of the ball. POV ray is an excellent one that is free, and has a large user community that can help with getting started with this rather complex program. —
