How do I do retouching of a old B&W Photograph which is having matte finish using Rubber Stamp.I am using Photoshop Cs Windows XP with and AMD athlon 2400 512 MB Ram and 80GB HDD and Epson Stylus 1290 printer.

Duplicate the image so you don’t affect the original.
Lower the opacity of the Stamp tool anywhere from about 8-24% so the stamping is gradual and less noticible.

Thanks for your reply Hewitt. Right now I am doing it with opacity 20% and MODE=Normal. But I am not getting the perfect results.At some plces the image appears to be loosing the normal texture and exposure details. Hence can you suggest any better way in doing this.
