Hi there everyone!!

This forum is great when I have problems creating but now I am at a halt!

I want to put a logotype on the side of a car. If the car was standing just flat from the side then I just have to put the logo in there but now I want to have it perfect on the sidedoor on a perspective photo..

I think I have to use skew and stuff but still I can get it good! There must be a plug-in or something for this. I tried ‘perspective filter’ but there I do not see the background photo and then it is really hard to line up…

Does anyone know how to do it good or a link to a tutorial/plug-in?

Very thankful for any help I can get!!

Perhaps the displacement map feature will help the type appear to follow the object better. Try: <http://www.photoshopcafe.com/tutorials/dispmap/dispmap.htm>

Thanks guys, this displacement map is great! I am making company shirts also so that could really get in handy…

But the problem is not that the logo blends good on the car it is more the perspective view I am after, it’s not just a rotate thing to get it perfect. especially when the car is really in perspective..

And a really great looking one: (this is just from the side and is not hard to do, but I just wanted to show how nice it is) < http://www.prweb.com/prfiles/2004/05/07/124613/Freedom_Mobil e_side.JPG>

Thanks!!

with your logo on a new layer, CTRL+T and hit CTRL while you drag the corner handles…

AAAA, great!!!

Does anyone know how to drag a logo to get a good proportion? I mean, I can transform it so it looks good on the car but then I am not sure that it is the same proportions…

The best would be to draw guides to help you on your perspective… Look at those tutorials: <http://tinyurl.com/ys7pz>

I heard about what Pierre taught above from Picture Put into Folding Film? (9 messages; 7/3/04) Picture Put into Folding Film? (9 messages; 7/3/04)
, and here is the result:

I am finally OK based on what I got from the following message: CTRL + T (or EDIT_FREE TRANSFORM)
than, hit CTRL while draging the corner handle.

It is all about Perspective, rather than DISTORT_DISPLACE.

So far I am doing pretty good. Might post my final picture when done.

Thank you Len!
Thank you all for the inspiration!

The transform tool is your ticket, just practice a bit and you will get it.

I’d say to run transform first, then displace for the final tweaks.. or maybe liquify…
