Problems with File Browser

Hi there,

i’ve got a problem with the File Browser. Sometimes it hangs on a jpeg while scanning a directory (building thumbnails). The browser will hang forever until i click on that file, then it continues. It happens on about every 30th file i’d say. Sometimes i have folders with hundreds of files and it can be a PITA to browse through the folder and click on the file he is having problems with.

So what seems to be the problem here?

The Major problem here is that it appears Adobe is absolutely ignoring all items that refer to the File Browser. It became available in PS Version 7.0 which is now close to 2 years old and Adobe has done nothing to address all the issues surrounding this "HUGE BUG".

If they were really concerned about their products and the people who would buy them they would address the major issues being brought up on these forums…but as you parse through the File Browser items (one of the most popular) you will find Adobe completely unresponsive.

It’s a shame that a company of this size and nature fails to address the real concerns of their community. The File Browser is obviously a major problem and Adobe should have addressed it when it first appeared.

Even after purchasing the upgrade to CS most of us out here find the File Browser still a "HUGE BUG", as it still doesn’t work correctly. But does Adobe respond? Nope!
Do they pursue a "patch" or updated release addressing this issue? Nope! So I guess we’ll all just have to wait for the next version to be released spring another $170.00 for the upgrade to see if the File Browser will actually work this time?

As for me?…I’m staying with V6…as I don’t need add-on’s, which not only don’t work but overload the already bloated software application.
Is anyone from Adobe LISTENING?

most of us out here find the File Browser still a "HUGE BUG",

please speak for yourself. i like the browser and it works fine for me.

This is a user to user forum, and there is little point in trying to address Adobe here over the head of someone seeking help.

Adobe will, like any company, track down problems that are actually inside their software in stead of being caused by an invisible circumstance in the client’s pc.

And they will keep a clear eye on this forum and pick out the relevant bits and pieces, and they’ll do so in spite of, not thanks to, people that are shouting "bug!" at every hickup their system makes.
