What would the group recommend as far as allocating
memory to Photoshop 6 while I’m still running Mac
OS 8.6? I need to be able to work with and create large
hi-res files for print.

I have 832mb actual ram, and as of tomorrow I’ll
have a 40GB partition set aside for scratch disk
space.

Right now I have it set at 90512K (twice the suggested).

I typically allocate anywhere from 240MB to 600MB to Photoshop.

Not really all that much, especially if you have over 800MB available. Give it more. Lots more.
