I downloaded this version of photoshop a few days ago because I was having problems with the 2.0 version. Error message from 2.0 was it could not find "My Catalog" .. Error message when I click on the 3.0 Icon
is that it must more than 256 colors. My computer is set to use thousands of
colors. The opening page of photoshop is not displayed at all, just the error message.
I don’t think photoshop is talking to my computer at all. Does anyone have an idea of where I messed up? I am new to photoshop. Thanks

I can’t speak for Photoshop specifically, but like so many other programs, sometimes it is a good idea to completely delete and remove the program and re-install it. I had to do that with both my HP printer and with Microsoft Office.

Both worked just fine after doing the above.

Thanks. I tried that and it did clear
up some problems with icons going
away for a few seconds when I clicked on photoshop, I also tried deleting Photoshop,rebooting,
turning off Firewall and reinstalling
photoshop. It is stored as a zipped file
and I think my system should unzip
when I run it, but I am not that sure
of that. I may have to run something
else to unzip.
