Could anybody tell me why the ‘brush’ cursor changes preferences while I’m working on a project, without ME changing them? It’s very frustrating … cause I like it set a certain way and it changes to another way on me by itself. Grrrrr!!

You are pressing the CAPS LOCK key, which toggles between cursor modes.
