In Photoshop Elements there is a template for a calendar, where you can use your own pictures.
Is there anything similar in Photoshop?

No, but there are lots on the internet, or use the one from Elements if you have it.

Calendars are better done in a vector program though.

I can email you 2 different size versions of calendars I’ve created in Quark which you can alter and then PDF. The fist is a DL size (98x210mm) and the other somewhat smaller (78.5x168mm).
