Recently I "discovered" HI-Pass sharpening. I’m interested now if there mat be other sharpening or re-focusing or de-blurring tools I can use an some remarkable pictures which are otherwise unsalable due to blur either from the boat’s engines or the subject closing faster than the autofocus could track.

Any help appreciated.

Blur from boat engines would be from camera motion. The only sharpening tool that I use is Focus Magic. It does tighten up lines to sharpen pictures. It also has a motion blur fixer. It works pretty well, as long as you keep it under 7 pixels of correction.

Photoshop CS2 ha a "Smart Sharpen" Filter. I don’t know that it will help with you boat engines or not.
Can you post an image or two where we can have a look? Perhaps that way you will get some possible solutions.

Sorry…
Past experience has proven that posting faulty images – even for help in fixing the problem that caused the fault – only leads to ridicule from a vocal minority who troll the groups, looking to heap it on anyone who does.
