I have created a header and I’d like to add more white space above the header so I was going to copy the whole psd and paste it into a bigger background. Whenever I try to copy I only get one layer, how do I get all layers without flattening them?

Lock them together.

Yopu can link the layers together in the Layers palette, then drag the layers (do not use copy/paste to move layers between Photoshop images) from one window to another using the Move tool.

That’s the hard way to do it, though. You can add more space easily by using the Canvas Size command. No need to move the layers into another document.

The easiest way to change the canvas size is to select the whole picture with the Crop Tool and just drag the selection to the size you want and hit Enter.
