CS: Constantly updating text on same file

I have a file with text in it. The file was created using Photoshop 6. Whenever I open this file in Photoshop 8 I get a warning about updating text. I click Update, make changes, and save the file. The next time I open the file I get the same question. So how do I update the text so it stays updated, for crying out loud?

I tried to duplicate your problem on my PS 7 at work but was not able to do so.

Someone else on this forum will pipe in, I’m sure.

What happens if you change the text and save it, does it stay updated? (Even if you erase, then retype in what you erased…)

I’ve had this happen a few times as well. Never found a solution.
