My Photoshop CS behave strangely when I’m trying to save file in different format. When I ask to "Save as" say name.tif file as name.jpg file it will first tell me that "name.tif" file already exist and if I wish to replace it ???? (I’m asking to save it as a .jpg and not .tif) I’ll tell "yes" and it will prompt for the degree of compression as for normal .jpg file and after saving the file will still show it as "name.tif" file and not as .jpg file. In order to get it in .jpg format I have to save it "As" jpg once more and then it works.
By the way if I wont save it second time the file became unusable. Photoshop will tell me that it is a wrong file type.
Does anybody know where is the bag? Is it with photoshop or with the system? (Windows XP pro) and how to correct it.
My friend does not have this problem with his Photoshop
