Hello all. I got a new laptop, and I was trying to install Creative Suite 1 Premium (Windows). Unfortunatly, when removing the Installer 2 disk from the case, I yanked a little too hard, and now it has a large crack in it. So, now I cannot intall anything. I called Adobe about getting replacement media, but they said the do not stock media for old versions. Anyway, I’m looking for someone who might be willing to send me a copy of this disc, or maybe put up a disc image file for me to download. I’m willing to pay a resonable charge.

Please note I’m not doing anything illeagal here. We own the software and I’ve been using it for a few years, I just can’t install it on my new machine.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Copy the needed files from your old machine over to a CD and then put that CD into the new machine and copy them onto the new machine.

Duh.

While not doubting for a moment the legality of your need for a dupe disc, I frankly find it difficult to believe that simply removing a CD from its case roughly would crack it. It takes considerable force to break a CD in half, and that probably needs only slightly more force than to just partly crack it. I would be most interested to know what piece of industrial equipment you used to remove it from its case.

Yes, good idea Harry. Then you get software that runs (if it runs) just as stable as you without your meds.

I once broke in two an original copy of "Finding Nemo" DVD while removing it from the case – no twisting or forcing – it just fell apart. I got another copy, watched the movie and then broke that DVD, this time on purpose.
