I’m a novice at digital photography and need a little help. I download photos to my computer then I upload them to a yahoo site for family/friends to view. When one tries to print the image from the website…. it’s awful. You can see pixels, it’s blury, etc. Even though the image says 2048×1536. why isn’t it printing out nicely? any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, I What is Yablewit? maybe you might to type Yahoo. I did find out in another group that Yahoo is compressing the images b/c the size was too small..
My original pictures were 2048×1536. After I downloaded the images to the web… I took them and saved them to my desktop… when I right clicked on the image the properties showed ok… i saved it to my desktop… .. right clicked properties and it
shows
Size is 16.8 KB (17,230 bytes)
Size on disk is 20.0 KB (20,480 bytes).

In explorer if I right click it shows the dimensions are 480×320. ah crap…. i guess you can’t print quality pictures at home

off of the web?

Yeah, you can IF you join a GOOD photo hosting group.
-or-
IF you post to your OWN web pages.

That’s why it’s "Ya Blew It" (yahoo)

Upload the images as files to the group’s Files area if you want to retain the full size.

Thanks, However, I don’t have the originals if the photos are from another party…. hence the disappointment of saving the reduced size to my computer and trying to print and having poor image quality. i’ll just have to work around this. thanks

If the photos are ‘from another party’ and you can’t get the proper file, then you probably don’t have authorization to use them either !!!
