I thought that i had read that Photoshop CS would open RAW files taken with the Fuji S5600 camera (.RAF files). However, this is not the case. Can anyone please let me know if i have to download a plug-in and if so, where i get it from. I have searched Google and Adobe’s website with no luck

Windows XP Pro (SP1), 620RAM, Adobe Photoshop CS Version 8.0.

Many Thanks
Andrew

I use PS CS version 8.0 with Camera RAW plugin version 2.0 to process ..RAF file from mt Fuji S2 Pro. I see that there is a version 2.1 that adds the S5000Z and S7000Z to the list. the S5600 is not mentioned but I can’t beleive that the .RAF files from the various Fujifilm cameras could be all that much different. The latest update is ver 2.4

The 2.1 and 2.4 updates are at

I have tried File Version 2.4 with PS CS V8, no luck ! – I have just downloaded and tried Version 2.1, still no luck !! – i get error message "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document" !

Looks like i am banging my head against a brick wall with Fuji and Adobe !

Cheers

Strange. I really would have thought that all the Fuji cameras would have used identical .RAF formats. I have had zero trouble with the S2 Pro and PS CS. My other two older Fujis don’t have raw file capability so I can’t test the theory.

How big are your .RAF files. Could you email one to me, not at the above addy . I’ll give you a proper one if you want to try it.

If you don’t mind sending it, I don’t mind trying it out.

At least you will know if it is something in your setup or a real software problem.

You can send it to dcolesATbigpondDOTnetDOTau and we will see what happens.
