I can’t find a more appropriate forum for
this question, so I’ll ask it here.

We have GoLive CS2 and want to use it to
convert some InDesign pages into HTML.
Does this require that the "package" be produced by InDesign CS2? Or will GoLive CS2 work with
"packages" from earlier versions of InDesign?

InDesign will convert the pages into HTML. Open those in GoLive and clean up the HTML. ID has had that capability since ID2.
