I open my files in CS2 and the "web colors" look dull, washed, but when I "save for the web" the colors show up correctly. This is so annoying, as I can’t really see what I am doing.

How can I see what I need to see? It happens in Illustrator too and it is driving me crazy. I know there are many sophisticated options with color, but I am not sure which one I need just to be able to design websites. Ah, not only they make it really expensive, but also they are trying to please TOO many new users, with camera raw stuff.

The loyal old users of Photoshop are not treated well by Adobe. Too much money and time I have spent in their marketing expansions; it makes me really mad they never make it easy for us.

🙁

Read and understand the chapter on "color management" in your manual. Your system is profiled incorrectly, you are using the wrong color management and profile settings, or both.
