Hi,
I have PS 7, had it for years, I am not a graphics designer, I dabble in other things, using PS7 as a favorite tool. I was recently given Photoshop elements 3 by a friend at work (birthday). Any problem having both installed and using both (not at the same time I guess)? Reason, I ask is PS elem seems to have some tasks scripted or automatic. I’m on winxp sp2. Do a lot of work in MS Office for biz and the othe for enjoyments Thanks

First, I do not have any ver of PSE, so this is speculation on your exact circumstance. However, I usually have at least two different ver of PS on most workstations, especially if I have a heavy workload and there has been a significant interface change. On one workstation, I have three vers. going back to v4, as one client often requests output, that only v4 can satisfy. All vers. have the same plug-ins, etc. and I’ve never had any problem with them living side-by-side. I doubt that you will encounter any problems.

Hunt, I tend to agree and was looking for opinions like yours-from knowledgeable PS users.
Thanks

l I too have 3 versions of PS installed on the same machine… I have also had PS Elements installed with PS 7.0 No problemo. The each install to their own directory under the general heading of ADOBE. Of course I would recomend and up grade of PS 7.0 to PS Creative Suite 2 for more bells and whistles than you can figure out how to use on your own for over a year.

Cheers,

Randy
