Have an image that needs to be made into a duotone (actually monotone)
Grayscale adjustments made and image looks good.
Apply the pantone color via duotone process, and the heretofore 0% background is now 1% of the pantone color, and no adjusting I can do, including dumping 100 white with paint bucket, will change this.
What is happening?
