Sorry Zell, It really IS TIME to upgrade to Windows XP. It’s painfull to have to leave it behind but there really is NO choice. The only other alternative is to get a new machine with XP and leave the old one to do other tasks.
Adobe don’t write for Win 98 anymore so nothing will work and no more support.
It’s hard but the upgrade makles it worthwile
Best of luck
Regards
Mark
No worries, but at home of course I use XP, but im visiting my dad for the summer [until august 9th] and I run a design company, so I really need to do designs, but I cant upgrade because he only has 98 and it really is his computer not mine :\.
Best to use PS Elements 2.0 – it will do SOME of what Photoshop CS will do, but remember, it only costs $99.00 vs the $100’s that PSCS does…, with pared down capabilities… But, it will get you through the summer.
Zell,
Stop patronising your "Old Man" and get him on board as well. It’ll save both of you a ball of heartache and anyway, if you haven’t time to let go of your business for a holiday you deserve ALL you get.
Go on, be an A$$ and live a little, you might find you might like it. Anyway, has your Da got a beach we don’t know of? or if you have the beach, get him down to where you are.
Not SAD Zell!
Regards
Mark
^^ I dont know if your being rude or what, but, I want him to get XP, Im not here on vacation, IM here to see my dad and work, im in the middle of nowhere 1 hour outside of winnepeg canada, where the closest thing to civilization is 1 hour awya in winnpeg My dad runs abusiness so I cannot do anything to the computer because he has all of his files on it. There is not beach, only miles and miles of forestry. So if that comment was diorected to be a critsizing type of one, then i have informed youa little better.
Sorry Zell, I was drunk but really I think I was trying to say that really I think XP is the way to go.
Again Apologies
