need help on pic

how does this look?? I am a new user so please B nice.. and remember… U can do it!!

Just a guesss Katwoman, but I’d suspect that with two posts from nyms not before seen in this NG, with the same link (in effect), that this is a sales ploy for "RapidLoad." Now, if "grannysdc" posts a bunch of helpful articles in the future, I’ll eat my words. Until then… well, I doubt that there will be a "then."

Sorry Katwoman if I caused you to lose that income for your upgrade. But, my focus is not on earning money but on learning to use this program as efficiently as possible, ergo, that’s why I read everything you write with such enthusiasm, you always have good suggestions and input. I am a newbie in digital things but do have an extensive film background an am still amazed at how easy it is to do things that literally took hours in the darkroom. I well understand this person wanted a freebee.. that’s why I knew no one here would help her and would probably flame her pretty good.. so for me it was just practice…

Hey, I followed the link thinking to have a look at it and perhaps take a shot at helping her out. Unlike your links below, instead of finding an image I get a page where I’ve got to sign up for something and download the image. I figured the message for SPAM and responded accordingly.

If she’s still following the thread, I’d advise her to go to graficalicus.com and download Mike’s free 110%Blaster action. I’ve had pretty good success upsizing images with pretty good fidelity using incremental resizing. Mike’s action is easy to use and with her subject matter the image should print OK at that size. As for the printing itself, any one of dozens of online services can handle it for her.

Oh, and next time she asks for help provide a link that goes straight to the image instead of making potential helpers think they’ve fallen for a spammer ploy.

Glad to see that your response was legit. However, few, if any, of us ever got past the sales page link – no images, nothing, but the sales pitch.

Actually helping one is what this news group is about. It just seemed strange (to me, at least), that the OP and the first reply only showed the sales link. I hope that you were able to help this person. And, it was not just Scott, who was cynical. I shared that belief, as well.
