For some strange reason, I cannot access ANY of the tutoritals under the "help" menu. It says "page cannot be displayed" when I click on any of the help items. I thought I would then reinstall photoshop from my original Photoshop CD, and when I tried to, it appeared to be defective, as I was unable to select "I accept" the user license agreement on the first screen that came up. I don’t remember how I was able to install it the first time, but apparently I must have. What do I do next?

Try copying the whole if the Photoshop folder from the CD to a new folder on your HDD and then try installing from there.

First, make sure the HElP is present:

Go to where Photoshop’s installed, usually, program files\adobe\photoshop cs, then into the Help folder.

– It should be filled with html pages.

Find the one called just, "help" (or, if you have extensions enabled, "help.html".

Create a shortcut to it, and drag the shortcut to the desktop.

Or, open IE, and ctrnl drag the file on top of IE. This will open the help file. I’d recommend making it a favorite, save it to the Links folder.

This doesn’t fix the fact that it doesn’t appear when pressing F1 or clicking help, but that can be affected by what windows sees as the default browser, or if AOL is installed. (AOL takes over all browser functions…, it has caused big problems for the html help files that Adobe uses.) Check out this page: <http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/2b316.htm>

The info on AOl was new to me. Thanks : -)
