Can anyone please give some guidance to this query, and how to remedy it?

"You currently have Adobe Photoshop’s Primary Scratch & Windows Primary Paging File on the same volume, which can result in reduced performance. It is recommended that you set Adobe Photoshop’s Primary Scratch Volume to be on a different volume, preferably on a different physical drive".

It’s advisory, not a warning. Been discussed over and over. If you only have one harddrive just ignore it.

And to remedy it, go to preferences and change the scratch disk to another drive (if you have one), if not, ignore the message.

or change from "Startup" to the actual driver letter (like "C:\" if that’s all you’ve got)

When photoshop is reading from and writing to
the same disk it can’t process as fast as when
two different disks are being used. I’m not sure
how having two different partitions is of any
value if they are on the same disk. That seems
worse than the same partition to me, but if that’s
not true I’d like to know. Thanks. : -)
