I have been using Photoshop Elements 2 and find a frequent use for the Selection Brush (using the Alt and Control keys) to tidy up selections made by the magic wand etc. Is there an equivalent tool in Photoshop CS ?

I also miss the shortcut bar in Photshop. Can I bring it up ? Ican’t find it in Window. It contains items like Step Backward.

In Photoshop the equivalent of the selection brush is Quick mask mode – press the letter Q to toggle it on and off.

To add to the selection, paint w/white, to remove from the selection, paint with black.

Also, there is no shortcut bar.

To add to the selection, paint w/white, to remove from the selection, paint with black.

or, as i prefer, set the prefrences by double clicking the quick mask icon in the tool bar, so that black (the default color) applys selection and white erases it. iow, with black you "paint on a selection".
