I’m making a series of free Photoshop video tutorials and want to make sure I include a section on most wanted.
Post or tell me what you would most like to see in a step by step video tutorial and I’ll send you
the link when it’s done. All free, no catch.

Judging by what I see asked here, the most requested "tutorial" is the compositing of images. Obviously, Layers, and Layer Masks take care of most of this.

Next might well be the color/density correction across an image. Again, Layers, Layer Masks, and Adjustment Layers w/ masks are the answer(s).

I’m sure there are more – maybe a turtorial on "trashing" your prefs?!?

Good luck,
Hunt

I would like the tutorial to assume ignorance on all matters Photoshop – apart from the obvious minimum knowledge needed to operate such a system.

Thanks,

The thing I find the most difficult is Layers
I need to be taken step by step through the most basic – I reckon once I can grasp the elementary steps I can work out the rest myself. please put me on your list

I vote for layers also. I have a hard time with them. A step by step guide would be a great help.

I’d like to see more advance photoshop tips concerning color management and preparing bitmap images for
Web press, sheetfed press, digital printers and flexo presses and last but not least coarse newsprints.

Welcome to Papa Joe’s

To the OP, whose original post is not up on my server:

The one thing most asked for in these two NG (alt & comp) is the "replacement of heads" on a body. Now, properly done, a tutorial could cover Layers, Layer Masks, and a ton of other techniques so as to match the combined images, as close as possible. I’m sure that MyJanee has several, plus, would guess that others have done these too. Anyway, of the myriad requests here, that is the one, that I see being asked for the most.

Lobo,

Unfortunately, PS is such a powerful program and will do so very much, the best place to start is with the manual. There are also some tutorials built into the program’s Help files and some more at
http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/. Next, I would suggest Adobe Photoshop Classroom in a Book. After one has done these, they will have a "ground up" view of PS and then can better choose which tutorials they need, for what they want to do.
