Hello,

I made a transparent gif, removing the background of my image. But when I insert it into a web page with a colored background, I can see some white (very ugly) :

Anybody knows how I can get rid of this ugly white ?

Thanks !

In the Save for Web dialog set Matting to the color of your web page.

When deleting the background use ‘select > grow’ to trim it off. If you zoom in you’ll see a row of white fading gradually to the subject’s color.

But you will still get an ugly jaggy look so it really is best to use a matching background color as mentioned. Then when you hit delete, the edge of the selection will re-form those rows of gradually changing colors to the background. You can go back & delete out the background again leaving only the blue fringe if it needs to hover over different colored areas use the most common color for the fringe.
