Bought this month’s version of the (expensive but worth buying) Photoshop Creative (www.pshopcreative.co.uk) and this
is one of the news snippets (w?), so to KatWoman and other who is still using CS, hang on before you upgrade.

Adobe Creative Suite 3: Ready this year?
*********************************
March 8, 2006 – Adobe is working hard to release Creative Suite 3 before the end of year, sources have recently disclosed. While internal documents originally pointed to a release date in the first-half of 2007, Adobe is making a big push—and receiving significant help from Apple—to get the software package into customer hands this year.

Something else; about the magazine I mention at the top – I do not know whether it is available in 3rd World countries like the USA but if it is, have a look at it at your local bookshop.

Dave,

I’ve not run across it in US. Is it monthly, quarterly, full-magazine, or semi-hardbound? I’ll be in London in June and will definitely head to Oxford St and find a copy.

Maybe they also do a "colonial" version, where "color" is spelled out for us, so we don’t have to translate it! ;-} It’s hard enough for us PC-types to have to always do the translation in our mind for Command-x to Ctrl-x…
Thanks for the info. End-o-year feels about right though. I haven’t done the math on the timelines, but seems to fit.

LOL… hi hello Hunt
remember we (you & I ) said the first to find out what is the shft/cntrl/alt keys in Corel Painter, will let the other know? Well, it is simply the shift key taking you back to the default settings.

Do you use Corel Draw9?
If so, would you know how to make the scroll wheel on the mouse actually scroll
in a document instead of enlarging the view?

I do use CorelDRAW

I do not, but maybe Dave, or someone else does. I have Draw 3, but have not upgraded, nor installed it on a machine in many years.

Sorry,
Hunt

Yes, I’ve looked all over the preferences but have had no luck. I imagine it will show one of these days!

Hmm, this is interesting. I have both Corel Draw 7 and 10 installed, and _both_ scroll with the scroll wheel. Neither zooms (a la Photoshop) with the scroll wheel. Checking Preferences (called Options in CD) I found nothing on the issue. I turned Auto-panning off and on, which did not affect the behavior. Perhaps it’s a setting in the Windows or mouse software?

I’ll keep my eyes opened for it in June. Another question in similar vein – do UK news shops usually have "back issues" of magazines such as this? In US, most news sellers often turn in un-sold copies of most mags for credit, as soon as the new one comes out. A few, however, do archive certain types of mags, but you have to know where these shops are.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Magazine. I’ll spend some of my BPS on a copy, or two.
