Willl tthere be a problem with reactivating CS2 on my computer after doing a fresh Windows XP reinstall? I have the CS2 installed on both my desktop and laptop (it’s my understanding it’s O.K. to install one licensed copy on both my desktop and laptop).

If there is, just give them a call – I’m sure they’ll only be too happy to assist a valuable customer.

Yes, ut’s OK to install on both a laptop and a desktop. Reinstalling Windows *should* not make your computer so different that activation is needed again, but the safest thing is first to deactivate Photoshop, then to reinstall Windows and finally activate Photoshop again.

CS2 can be activated only twice before you have to call Adobe and beg. They will give you a code but make you suffer for it.

How do you deactivate?

Menu ‘Help – Transfer Activation’. With that menu you can deactive this copy, and then activate a copy on another machine. Or, in this case, activate the same copy again later.
