Very nicely done. Many of us, myself included, would be proud of such an artistic effort.

The initial image is intriguing, and you ‘ve done an excellent job of making the images speak for themselves, without the need for language. Most of the images are interesting and well placed with relation to one another. I found the second and third groups to be especially well grouped and each image presents itself well.

With the first group, absence, the images have too much detail for the relatively small size of the web page image. I would make that set of image larger, or crop the images to make them more effective in a smaller format. The last image, of blurred Asian figures, was inconsistent with the overall theme of space and emptiness.

Most people are reluctant to send an email, so do not be disappointed if you receive few responses. Ask people to email you, instead of just having the @ sign available to click on. If possible, add a comments section, where people can type one or two lines of comment, and counters for each image so that you know how many people are looking.

Hi Olivier

Maybe I am easily pleased but I think it is very good. I love the way the thumbnails look and open to the main image. The photos themselves are excellent too. Well done.

nice work
site is wonderful, good strong clean design easy to navigate, like the simple color scheme and use of white space
agree on absences the photos are small to appreciate (I am on 1024×768) photos show nice sensitivity and good sense of composition liked the women’s photos more for the emotions than the techniques more artsy than commercial? I thought the day job comment was uncalled for

You obviously missed the (misspelt, agreed, but nonetheless understandable) word ‘personal’.
Perhaps the extra N confused you.

I thought it was a nice clean looking site, and most of the images were good too.
(nifty flash slideshow thingy.))
But my only problems are what Mike had mentioned about the picture size. ( I recently bought an LCD monitor and bumped up my resolution, and those pix were kinda too small to see clearly.
Also the upper left navigation links are way too light for a white background. I’d go for a darker font color.
Other than that… it’s great!

I also liked it. The Lignes gallery was not my favorite. The women are really sweet & well done. The picture sizes are not terribly small if there were more pics (but I appreciate the editing) and I realize it quickly becomes unbearable loading larger images with flash. This site responds very quickly & professionally.

No. It was you who made the smartassed comment without fully understanding the OP.
It was a personal website, do you understand that? Personal, as opposed to professional.
Are you a little bit closer to understanding now?
