I am relatively new to Photoshop and learning as I go.

I have a whole load of photos of items which have been taken on a blue background. I have successfully used the magic wand to cut-out many of them and then replaced the backgtound.

But this technique has been unsuccessful of the ones which are chrome – the shadow and refelctions on the chrome seems to confuse the magic wand tool.

It seems to me that there must be a way of selecting the background colour (ie the blue) and simply replacing it in total. The replace colour command appears to be the obvious solution but I cannot get it to work.

It would be great if someone out there could advise me on the right technique and give me the steps to follow.

Thanks in anticipation.

Chris
