batch resizing maintaining long filenames

Can anyone help me? I’m trying to resize a whole heap of images with various length filenames, some of which contain spaces etc, but it’s important that when i do a batch resize and ‘save for web’ that the filenames are maintained as is.

is this possible?

find the save options in save for web, they’re in a dropdown box. uncheck unix and mac compatability.
