Hi. Does anyone know of a plug-in for PS which removes jpeg artefacts, or at least clears up the worst?

There are a number of free-standing tools which say they do this, but the ones I have found are all payware and relatively costly, and since I only want to improve a couple of photos for home use, (and already have Photoshop 6)….

Thanks,

Martin

Just found something called Topaz DeJPEG which apparently acts as a PS plug-in and removes JPEG artifacts.. Experimenting now….

It works like a basic version of NoiseNinja, which I already have. Maybe NoiseNinja is all I need – although there is no ‘dedicated’ jpeg tool.

I have an action titled "Artifact Remover" Don’t remember where I found it. Check Adobe exchange it may be on there.

I did have a look there first, but didn’t find anything. I’ll have another look though – might well have missed something, especially when I wasn’t 100% sure what I was looking for.

Thanks,

Alien Skin has one in one of their plug-in packages. When I was testing it after it came out it seemed to work pretty good.
