I am helping with a web site that the Navy squadron emblems don’t look good at the edges.

The gifs came from clean psds. In past experiences, gifs have looked jagged on the edges because the matte color wasn’t present. That appears to be the case with these, but when I opened the gif in CS2 I couldn’t get the matte option to come up unless I was doing a new gif.

Web site is www.va-172.org

Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated.

Also, are there any good tutorials on gifs? Obviously I need some.

If you want to change the matte, you WILL be making a new gif. Save for Web and set the color you need.

Correct. Once the GIF is made, that’s it, you’re done.

If you want to fix these GIFs, you must go back to the original .psd that made them.

why try and make them like that anyway??
they look horrible against the blue.
make them with a background color like white or black and then thin border and then place on the blue background.
