Hi,
I am using PS Elements 4.0 . I have scanned several old family photos at the highest possible resolution in full color mode using an Epson CX7800. Some pictures are showing up fine in the organizer and editor, others are showing up as a gray box with an exclamation point. What can I do to correct this? They show up fine in my other photo programs.

Thanks,

Do not know Elements, but there is usually a message attached to the right of the "!" in PS. Do you get any sort of Error Message? Rough guess would be that the Mode, or the Color Depth of your scan are not handled by Elements, though I cannot imagine why this would change, and some scans would view, and others not.

No, no other error message, just a gray exclamation.

Well, I don’t think so, because I can pull them up in my other photo software. I did, however, correct the problem by reducing the scan resolution to 800. I was hoping to scan them at a higher resolution for end result picture quality. Oh well…

Thanks!
