I’ve been using PS 7.0.x since it came out… getting ready to upgrade to CS… however, in the meantime, all of the shape tools are not showing… for example, only 4 shape tools show (rectangular, elliptical, single row and single column)… it doesn’t show the rectagular marquee with rounded corners… or 6-sided marquee tool… etc… it’s as if a toolbar or part of one it missing… Having touble figuring out how to find it…

Any help would be appreciated… TIA

You’re confusing Marquee Tools with Custom Shape Tools.

Marquees are strictly for making selections, and only come in 4 flavors: •Rectangular
•Elliptical
•Single Row – H
•Single Row – V

Custom Shape Tools are located at a different position in the Tool Box (9th position down in the right column), are meant to be used for a variety of different purposes (Raw Paths, Shape Layers, and Filled Pixels), and come in 6 + flavors:
•Rectangular
•Rounded Rectangle
•Elliptical
•Polygon
•Line
•Custom Shapes

Sounds like you need to do some fearless exploration.
