Do you think that a Nvidia Quadro FX3500 (256MB) is a good graphics card for Photoshop?

Thanks in advance!!

I’ve just added the Quadro FX4500-512MB to my workstation and it works fine with PS, but is vast overkill for just that program. As I’ve added video production to my workflow, it excels there. However, PS doesn’t use most of its power. If one is purchasing a vid card just for PS, any mid-range, dual- head card with >/= 128MB will work fine. Just make sure that your particular card has a wealth of driver development for your OS. Again, if just for PS, buy less and spend the saved $’s on RAM and additonal physical HDDs.

Hi..

Photoshop does not need fancy graphic cards. They don’t help or hinder Ps, and it will run just fine on even a basic 32 meg card.

I know, that is what I have been using for years.

Yes, in my experience, a decent graphics card with a normal amount ot VRAM (32-64) worked nice for me. The real Photoshop problems were RAM and a big and fast hard disk. When working with images larger than 100MB, those two premises, provided the processor is not too old, are a necessity (at least in my case).
