Just curious. With the other image adjustment tools (except of course the auto corrections), the adjustment dialog box comes up without any adjustments having been made. That way, it’s easy to immediately see how the image changes with real-time adjustments. However, the shadow/highlight dialog comes up concurrently with a significantly adjusted image. I usually find myself adjusting "back" to the original image, then re-applying the various adjustments. I prefer starting with an un-adjusted image. It gives me more control, and it’s easier, for me at least, to learn the effects of the various sliders.
