Using PS/CS in "Preferences" I chose "ruler" and "grid".
Now these seem to be default settings every time I open any file, new or existing. And even if I click them "off" (View>Extras), after closing then reopening the file, they default "on" again.
Is the purpose of the Preference, to default these to the "on" postion?
I want to have each of my files
1. with unique ruler and grid specs
2. with the ruler showing, and
3. the grid off when I open the file.
Must I customize each file and turn off Preferences?
Can I create several Personal Preference Defaults anywhere? Say one with ruler in inches with 4 segments to the inch with a blue grid rules… and another in picas with 6 segments to the inch and black grid rules?
Thanks, artguy
