I’m more than interested to hear about this myself. I suspect we MAY hear from Ian(Lyons)as I think he is interested in the various colour spaces.
I hope this develops "No pun intended"

Mark
This has been debated (ad nauseum) on Rob Galbraith’s forums. Basically, for some, the generic C1 profiles are better than the generic ACR RAW settings, but those who really try to tweak the settings on ACR often find that it works as well or better. There are some workflow issues that differentiate the two systems, but I haven’t been convinced that there is a sufficient difference to warrant the expense.
Mark,

C1 has a "workflow" that seems to fit well with many pro shooters. It does NOT fit well with how I work and therefore I don’t think it warrants the expense.
Ian,
Apologies, I wasn’t trying to implicate your knowledge regarding colour space. I may have confused the C1 plugin with your abilities. Believe it or not I was trying to give you a plug but I understand your reluctance to reciprocate. I won’t drag you in again. I respect your position.
Kindest Regards
Mark
Mark,
I wasn’t slapping you down. The simple fact is that I don’t use C1 because I don’t like C1 and life is too short to argue with those who think differently. For whatever reason the battle between those who swear by C1 and those who swear at it makes the Apple vs PC battle look like a pillow fight.
Ian
So, no-one has anything good to say about C1 PRO. Why is it highly rated in some circles then?
Why is it highly rated in some circles then?
I’m sure that I answered your questions! Likewise I’m equally sure that Philo answered it!
I really like C1 (and the company, PhaseOne), they have _several_ years of experience in RAW development for high profile cameras, and this again fits well with my software philosophy; Go with the specialist.
The workflow in C1 is great!
Now, I admit I have never used Camera Raw, but can it develop an image while you are working on the next one? Can it develop, say 20 photos in the background while you keep working?
In C1, it is also extremely simple to apply same settings to several files, etc.
I believe there is a 30 day demo version you can check out.
