I am working on a DVD project that contains several hundred menus. My problem is that I need to add a logo to every menu. I want to make sure that the logo is in the exact same place on each menu. Is there a command that will allow me to copy the logo and simply paste it on each menu in the exact same location? Please help!

J, in a Photoshop File, the logo by itself on an otherwise transparent layer, will be visible in exactly the same spot as long as the layer is visible…no need to duplicate.

But if you really need to ‘paste in place,’ with your logo layer active, press Ctrl+A, (Select All), then copy, (Ctrl+C). Assuming your paste target image is the same size, the logo will paste at the same coordinates.

….If your menus are in different documents (and i’m assuming they are) click the layer the logo is on, go to layer>duplicate layer. Under "Destination" select your other menus. it will put it in the exact same spot as the original (unless the docs aren’t the same size).

Thanks for the response but that does not help me. Let me explain this in a little more detail. I have several hundred menu files in 720X480. I have a logo file 720×480 (transparent background) with a small logo on the bottom right hand corner. I want to add this logo to each menu in the lower right hand corner. My problem is when I chose ‘select all’ and then paste – it appears in the center of the screen. The logo must appear in the bottom right hand corner -The logo can’t ‘bounce’ around when you go screen to screen because the logo is not in the exact place.

It works! Thanks Aaron – I did not see your post prior to me posting the last message. I never noticed that option when I duplicated a layer. You saved me hours of work! Thanks!

No problem! I use that a lot when i’m designing ads for companies with multiple ads in our telephone directories. It comes in EXTREMELY handy.
