I use PhotoShop 2.0. Using the lasso tool and copy, I am pasting the image of a dog on an existing photo of another dog and background. I’m trying to figure out how I can duplicate the same color of the existing dog to the new dog I’ve pasted on the photo so it blends with the same background colors. Would appreciate some pointers or instruction. glp

You probably mean Photoshop Elements 2.0, in which case you are in the wrong forum. There is a Photoshop Elements forum.
