Hi All,

I have been trying for hours now to find out how I can change the default file saving options in the PS CS JPEG Options window. The default on mine is set to "Quality – 8" and "Progressive".

How can I change these defaults?

Thanks

Bernd

I thought it remembered the last save. change em and save a file, see if it retains the new settings.

I do a lot of this for the web (saving in 3 different sizes). What I do is perform the action on the original and save a copy in another folder. Then put a Close with "No Save" at the end of the action.

This way I still have my original pic.

Have you considered using the Image Processor, from Bridge?

It will perform a "resize" and save the images to a folder of your choosing. IP is so easy to use and you can even ask it to run a predefined Action on each file as it works.

Also consider saving in the PSD or TIFF format for any intermediate editing. Each successive open/save cycle using Jpeg will prgressively destroy pixel information, reducing the quality of the final image.

Chris.
