print out does not match display

Using Windows XP PhotoShop v 7, with Epson 2200, have installed MonacoOptix and created profile, made it my default, have disabled adobe gamma from start up, photo looks fine on display but prints very differently,when I preview too previews as awful as it would then print, do I have a setting messed up
